Welcome Back to School!
On behalf of the Thurgood Marshall Fundamental Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA), I would like to welcome all new and returning parents to the 2015-2016 school year. I am both excited and humbled by the opportunity and responsibility to lead our PTSA as we continue to improve and strengthen the support the PTSA offers as a way to provide an excellent experience to our middle school students. Our PTSA is strong and has a great executive board in place and we are very excited to continue to have some of the great programs we have offered in the past and to continue to improve and expand our support to the administration, the teachers, and students.
Listed below is some very important information about how you can support and participate in the PTSA, we can’t do this without your help and we are very grateful for all the parents’ support, time, and generosity!

We are looking for families to help in the following areas. If you are interested, please contact Lisa Hoyland at 727- 482-0873 for more information:
Research shows that family involvement supports student success. Students with involved parents are more likely to earn higher grades and pass their classes, attend school regularly and have better social skills and go on to postsecondary education. Family engagement make up a huge part of PTSA’s mission. We are very excited to see these priorities combine in this year’s theme as we Bridge Together for Student Success!
